DIY Personalized Plush With Cricut Infusible Ink Markers

I’ve been wanting to experiment with Cricut infusible ink for a while now. I don’t know what I was waiting for, because it was so fun and easy to use! You don’t even need a Cricut. Follow along as I show you how to personalize this plush bunny pillow just in time for Easter.
You’ll need:
- Cricut Infusible Ink Markers
- Shaped Plush Bunny Easter Pillow by Spritz
- printer
- printer paper compatible with laser printers
- iron or Cricut EasyPress
Begin by printing the name in a style you like. It is really important to remember that any design you’re creating needs to be reversed so that it will transfer correctly. Flip the paper so that you’re reading the name backwards through the paper.
Place another piece of printer paper over the name and trace. The printer paper needs to be compatible with laser printers for it to work. Typical printer paper is, but keep this in mind incase you come across any problems. I used the black marker from the watercolor splash pack of Infusible Ink markers.
I highly recommend using heat resistant tape to keep your design in place. You don’t want your design to shift while you’re ironing. Once you’ve got it taped down, use an iron or Cricut EasyPress to transfer the ink onto the plush. Resist the temptation to move the heat around so your design doesn’t shift and blur.
You can see how the look of the paper changes once the heat activates it and transfers the name to the plush.
Remove the paper to reveal the name.
Unlike heat transfer vinyl which rests on top of the fabric, Infusible Ink becomes part of the fabric. I love that it stays so soft!
I knew my little one would love this bunny pillow, but you should be able to use Cricut Infusible Ink on other plush animals too. Just make sure it is made from 100% polyester and it should work. Happy crafting!
