Thanks to Eggo waffles breakfast has just become more fun! Eggo now makes Disney Mickey Mouse waffles and you can find them at your local Target store. Even better, you can save on all Eggo Waffles with the 10% off Cartwheel offer.
My kids were pretty excited when they found the box of Eggo Mickey Homestyle waffles in our freezer. Even the teenagers were excited! We are huge Disney fans, so we get excited about anything with Mickey Mouse on them. Seriously, how cute are they? If you have Mickey Mouse fans you are going to want to pick some up for your family too. I am sharing some yummy ways you can top your Eggo Mickey Homestyle waffles.
My favorite way to top waffles is with a Strawberry Coulis, it’s strawberry sauce that is so fresh and fruity. I love it! Besides the fact that is is yummy, it is super quick and easy to make. If you picked up strawberries at the store (or your garden) you will probably have everything else on hand that you need to make this yummy sauce. Here’s what you need:
Strawberry Coulis
2 cups strawberries (quartered and hulled)
1/4 cup water
3 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP lemon juice (fresh is best, but you can use bottled if that is all you have)
Combine strawberries, water, sugar and lemon juice in blender and puree. If you find there are more strawberry seeds than you like, you can press the liquid through a mesh strainer to remove some of the seeds. Refrigerate until cool. This is best served fresh, I would use it within a day or two.
If you love strawberries, you will have to give the Strawberry Coulis a try. It’s so yummy! In addition to waffles it’s great on so many other things too. Try it on ice cream. The Strawberry Coulis is my number one way to top waffles, but here are a few other suggestions for your Eggo Mickey Homestyle waffles.
Try bananas and caramel Sauce. A salted caramel sauce would be great too. Yum!
You can always go with the classic fresh berries sprinkled with powdered sugar. Top them with a little whip cream too.
My husband has been topping his waffles with peanut butter and syrup for years. I had never heard of the combination on waffles before, but he has convinced some of our kids that this combination is amazing. I have yet to try it, but I hear they love it. Have you topped your waffles with peanut butter and syrup before?
Of course, my youngest is content with eating Eggo waffles totally plain. When my son eats them plain it makes for a quick and easy breakfast when we are running out the door. Don’t those happy Mickey Mouse faces just put a smile on your face?
When you head to Target, make sure you load the 10% off Cartwheel offer good on all Eggo Waffles. The offer is valid through 6/17/17, so you’ve got plenty of time to save. Who else is excited that they now make Eggo Mickey Mouse waffles?
