DIY Citrus Wall Clock

This unfinished wood clock by Hand Made Modern holds so many possibilities, but as soon as I saw the picture of the citrus clock on the package I knew I had to try and recreate it. I painted a lime, but simply use different colors to create whatever fruit you fancy.
You’ll need:
Use a foam brush to paint a layer of white across the front of the clock. Acrylic paint dries quickly, but make sure it’s completely dry before moving on.
Sketch your design directly onto the wood. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect! Use an eraser to lighten up any of the lines you may have been heavy handed on.
If you’re painting a lime you’ll want to use three different colors of green. Paint the membrane of the lime a light green.
The segments should be painted a bright green. I used a neon green to make it really pop!
Go around the edge of the clock with a darker green for the peel of the lime.
I used more bright colors to paint the hands of the clock.
This quirky and colorful clock will fit perfectly on my dining room wall. It sure does brighten things up!
