Cocoa Pebbles Donut Treats with Free Printable

I had to make some treats for an event and I wanted to do donuts, however there was going to be lots of traveling involved and donuts aren’t very “packable”. I finally came up with a clever idea to use Cocoa Pebbles to make marshmallow treats that I made into the shape of donuts. I think they turned out super cute (and tasty too)!
I’m sharing this fun recipe, so you can make some too.
Cocoa Pebbles Donut Treats :
- 4 TBSP butter
- 5 cups of mini marshmallows
- 6 cups of Post Cocoa Pebbles Cereal
Icing:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2-3 TBSP water
- Food coloring (if desired)
- Sprinkles
Add butter to a microwave safe bowl and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds, or until melted. Add mini marshmallows and microwave for 1 minutes, remove from microwave and stir the marshmallows and butter. Place back in the microwave for one more minute. Remove and stir, the mixture should be completely smooth. Stir in Cocoa Pebbles.
Spray a donut baking pan with cooking spray. Take a large serving spoon and add the Cocoa Pebbles mixture to each donut. Take a piece of wax paper and press down the cocoa pebbles to make sure they are packed in nice and firm. Place in freezer for 5 minutes and then use a knife to simply lift the donuts out.
Next is the fun part, you get to add icing and decorate. I like to use a couple different colors for the icing. I often use a decorator bag and snip off the end with scissors, it makes decorating quick and easy. Add sprinkles to make them extra festive. This recipe should make approximately 12 donuts.
Let the icing completely dry, then add each donut into individual bags and tie them up with strings and attach a tag. You can print the fun “I Donut Know What I’d Do Without You!” gift tags to use for your treats too.
These would be fun to hand out at a birthday party or they would make a fun treat for when the kids head back to school.
