Target has a variety of pretty and practical calendars in Bullseye’s Playground right now. I was drawn to this one because it gives you a chance to fill it in yourself. It would be great in an office or kitchen…especially when you dress it up like this.
You’ll need:
- artist panel board by Hand Made Modern
- calendar list pad ($1 from Bullseye’s Playground)
- small decorative clip
- wood stain
- rag
- disposable gloves
- glue gun
- photo
Open the wood panel and flip it over. You’ll see it looks like it is framed when you do this.
Dip a rag into the wood stain, and wipe it on the wood panel until it is covered. Give it time to dry.
Add a clip onto the top of the wood panel with hot glue. I found the clip in Target’s dollar spot a while ago, but I’ve seen similar ones with the office supplies.
Add glue to the back of the calendar and then attach it near the bottom of the wood panel.
Now you can add your favorite picture. A 4×6 fits just right.
The ledge is a great place to keep a pen handy.
Add a sawtooth picture hanger to the back and the calendar is ready to hang. Wouldn’t this photo calendar make a terrific gift?
