We all know printers get a lot of use during the school year, but did you know there are tons of things to keep you printing all summer long? Here are some of the things that keep us printing all summer long:

When the weather is either too hot or even too rainy (we do live in Seattle), I keep kids entertained inside the house by printing coloring pages, Sudoku puzzles, word searches and more.

When we travel my kids like to play Travel Bingo on the long car rides.  I made these printable bingo sheets and we slip them into a page protector and clip them onto a clipboard.   This way they can be used again and again.  A laminator would work too if you have one, but the page protector and clipboard are an inexpensive and easy alternative.

Reading is one of the activities we like to make sure our kids continue over the summer. We are challenging them to set a goal to read a certain number of books. Once they complete a book, we have them fill out this Summer Reading Log. When they’ve met their goal we do something fun like go out for ice cream. In addition to using the Brother printer to keep the kids entertained during the summer, I too get lots of use out of the printer. We love to grill during the summer months and I like to keep all my summertime grilling recipes in a binder for easy access. I simply print out the recipes and add them to my binder. I now have all my favorite recipes in one place. I’m kind of a messy cook so I like the fact that I can keep them clean by slipping them in plastic page protectors in the binder.

And of course, one of my favorite uses for the Brother printer is to print coupons to help me save when I shop at Target.
