Tips for Shopping Target Halloween Clearance (Hidden Deals too)
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
The Halloween clearance will start November 1st. The Target holiday/seasonal clearance is one of my favorite ways to save money at Target. The holiday items will get marked down as low as 90% off (food items 70% off). Here are the dates the Halloween clearance were marked down last year. Please keep in mind that last year the clearnace to 70% off and 90% off when sooner than normal so there is a chance it can happen later than these dates:
Halloween 50% off (food 30%) – November 1st
Halloween 70% off (food 50%) – November 3rd
Halloween 90% off (food 70%) – November 5th & 6th
In some cases, the markdown on food happens later than the holiday merchandise so keep that in mind too. Here are some things you will need to know regarding the seasonal markdowns. These holiday markdowns are done via computer, so you WILL NOT see little red price stickers on these items. They WILL NOT do price adjustments on clearance items.
You will want to watch for items that have tags that look like these. I am not 100% certain that they will clear the harveste/fall items at the same time as the Halloween, but there is a good chance that they will. If so, make sure you check for these cute Thanksgiving chicks.
Keep an eye on the items in the Halloween section, not all of them are Halloween themed. Some item will work year round. I found this wooden serving tray that would look nice on a coffee table filled with candles or what ever.
Sometimes Halloween items will end up in there respective departments. For instance, these plates were found in the Halloween section, but they may end up being stocked in the paper plates or party good sections. I am sharing these photos now, so you know what to look for when you head to Target. I can’t guarantee all of these items will be part of the Halloween clearance, but it does give you a good idea of what to look for. Check out the items below for even more items that may become “hidden deals” (clearance deals that don’t always stay in the Halloween clearance section).
There are orange Up & Up plastic cups. I pick these up when they hit 50-70% off and use them for family reunions. If you are a fan of a college that has orange as one of their colors these would be great for when you have friends over to watch the football games.
Cheeky plasticware in Orange.
Hefty and Glad usually always have some holiday themed plastic wraps, bags and containers.
Kleenex and often Up & Up tissue with Halloween packaging can be found on clearance. Occasionally, they will mark these down like they do the normal clearance (with red tags), if that happens these will only go down to 70% off.
Lawn and leaf bags.
Washi Tape and glitter glue may end up back in the craft section.
Make sure you also check the dollar spot section because there will be clearance there too. Sometimes they will move the dollar spot items back with the Halloween items, so if you don’t see if up front you might see it there.
Once the Halloween clearance starts will be sharing more hidden deals. We love to see your holiday shopping trips and clearance finds. Please share you photos any of the following ways:
- Post photos directly on the All Things Target Facebook page
- Share them on Instagram by tagging @allthingstarget or with the #allthingstarget hashtag
- Email them to [email protected]
Thanks for these helpful dates! There are candy coupons in recent newspaper inserts that expire after 10/31. Check your inserts.
can someone please post the dpci to the kleenex tissues and the leaf bags? thanks
Yes, I would like to know the dcpi for kleenex as well!
I don’t have the DCPI but I remembered seeing them on here and scanned both of them the day after Halloween and they came up full price at my store.
