RoseArt Roto-Motion Mixer

Do you have a dinosaur lover in your house? I can’t think of a kid that hasn’t been fascinated with dinosaurs at some point, at least that was the case with my boys.  This RoseArt Roto-Motion Mixer would make a great gift for any kid who likes dinosaurs, sculpting, painting or imaginative play.    We

Roto-Motion Mixer

The RoseArt Roto-Motion Mixer comes with enough supplies to make 6 dinosaurs.  The kit contains the following:

  • Roto-Motion Mixer Machine
  • 3 Dino Molds (T-Rex, Stegasaurus, Triceratops)
  • 6 Power Bags
  • 4 Water Based Paints
  • 2 Aging Washes
  • Paint Brush
  • Sponge
  • Scraping Tool
  • Measuring Cup
  • Stir Stick

RoseArt Mix Powder

To make the dinosaurs you first mix the Fast Cast Powder with water.  This only takes about one minute.

Pour in mix

Next you pour the mix into the mold of your choosing.   My son had to go with a T-Rex first because they are the coolest.  Make sure you read all the directions closely.  Before you close the lid you need to add a small part of a paper towel.

Crank the handle

Once the mix is in and you seal the top you crank the handle to spin the mixer for 2 minutes.   I love the fact that this toy is hand powered and no batteries are required.     Once you’ve spun it for 2 minutes you take the mold off the mixer and set it on the table to sit for 15 minutes.   You can start a new dinosaur mold on the mixer at this time if you want.

Once the 15 minutes are up you can open the mold and pop out your dinosaur.   This is another feature that I love, it only takes 15 minutes for the dinosaur to harden.   No waiting hours or even over night.   This is such a great feature!   Once the dino is removed you can use the scraper tool to smooth off the edges.   Depending on their age, your child may need help with this step.

Make your own dinosaurs with RoseArt Roto-Motion Mixer

In no time we had 3 dinosaurs all ready to be painted.   The kit contains 3 different colors of fast cast powder so you get a nice variety of dinosaurs.

Paint dinosaur

Next up, they get to paint their dinosaurs. You want to make sure to cover your work area throughout the entire process.

Final dinosaurs

Here is a peek at the 3 dinosaurs  my son created and the different finishes:.

T-Rex (just the cast no paint)
Triceratops (painted)
Stegasaurus (painted and aged washed)

RoseArt at Target

The process to make these dinosaurs was flawless, we didn’t run into any complications and everything worked just the way they said it would.   I love when that happens!    I can highly recommend this kit.  The RoseArt Roto-Motion Mixer can be found in the craft and stationery aisles at your local Target or at Target.com.  You can also find the RoseArt Roto-Motion Mixer Dino Lab at Amazon.com or at Kmart store. This is recommended for kids ages 6 and up.
