Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Chalk Board & Dry Erase Easel (Dollar Spot $3)
  • Craft Paint (pinks, reds & greens)
  • Chalk or chalk marker or metallic colored pencil (used in post for a more permanent job)
  • Paint brush or paint sponge

I mixed a few pinks together until I got a colored I like. You will use 3 different pinks for layering the colors you would like. For the flower all you do is create half circles starting in the middle moving outwards. Make the half circles different sizes, close together and not, but make sure to leave some space so you can fill in with other pinks. The key is the less the better at the beginning and then you will just keep adding on top of one another until the whole flower is filled in.

For the leaves I drew a leaf with a light green filled it in and used a darker green to draw lines in the inside to give it contrast. Voila! Inside you can write a sweet note to the mother, grandma, sister, aunt who you love dearly. I wrote the definition of mother. I wanted it to be more permanent so I used a metallic pencil. Metallic colored will show up more on a chalk board.

Personalized DIY Floral chalkboard

Mother’s can use it for decor, or can write on it. Its also fun because on the back is a dry erase board. You can also use this for teacher appreciation day or at the end of the year gifts for teachers!

Have a great week fellow Target lovers!
