Summer break is finally here! If you like finding creative ways to document and display your family’s adventures, have I got the project for you! This frame makes it easy to add to it throughout the summer, and by the end you’ll have a beautiful keepsake to cherish for years to come.
You’ll need:
guestbook frame with wood hearts ($5 from Bullseye’s Playground)
I found this guestbook frame in the wedding section of Target’s dollar spot. If you can’t find it in your store, I did find a similar one on the Target website.
This step can be a little tricky because the hearts are small. I resized my photos on my computer to be a little bit bigger than the hearts and printed them on cardstock.
Trace a heart over the part of the photo you want to use and then cut it out.
Brush a layer of Mod Podge over the wood heart and then add the photo on top.
Let it dry completely and then add another layer of Mod Podge on top to protect it.
After each heart is dry, you can slip them into the slot on the top of the frame. The frame was a little too plain for me so I added “summer 2019” with adhesive vinyl. If you don’t have a vinyl cutting machine I think stickers would work great here.
I couldn’t be more excited to fill this frame up with this summer’s memories! The slot is big enough to fit some ticket stubs. I think we will also be adding the pressed pennies my oldest collects this summer too. If you have more ideas for things we can add please share down below!
