I love eating muffins for breakfast. I appreciate the fact that you can make muffins in almost any flavor you can dream up. I also enjoy that you can add cereal to your muffins to give them a little extra flavor, crunch and texture. Post Honey Bunches of Oats are a great addition to your morning muffins. The sweetness of the honey flakes and the almonds are the perfect flavor combination to go with almost any other flavor like bananas, pumpkin and my personal favorite…chocolate chips! I added the Honey Bunches of Oats to my morning chocolate chip muffin recipe and they were yummy.
Here are the ingredients you need to make these muffins.
Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Chip Muffins:
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal (use 1/3 cup for batter & remaining for topping on muffins)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup oil
- 3/4 cup of chocolate chips (2/3 for batter & remaining to sprinkle on top of muffins)
Add flour, sugar, 1/3 cup Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, salt, egg, milk, and oil to bowl stir until mixed together. Fold in 2/3 cup of chocolate chips.
Add batter to muffin pan that has been prepped with non stick cooking spray. Sprinkle remaining cereal and chocolate chips on to the top of each muffin. Bake at 350 for 18 minutes.
