Meditative Crafts with the Family

This week is all about two words: cozy, and crafty. Fall is in full swing now. Walking through my neighborhood brings crunchy leaves, golden hues, and a chill crispness to the air that has me itching to curl up inside. So this week, we’re doing just that. No phones. Just relaxing, quality family time at home. Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- Everyone’s putting on their coziest clothes and gathering in the kitchen. Thick socks, comfy pajamas, you get it.
- Now it’s time to soundtrack your evening. I’m personally already knee-deep in Christmas albums, but if that’s not your thing or it feels too early, I think an oldies or jazz playlist would fit the vibe.
- It’s cookie time! If you have a family recipe, you can absolutely use that. But if you want this to feel as easy as possible, these pre-made cookies are SO. DANG. GOOD. All you need to do is pop them in the oven for about 12 minutes. Alternatively, you can grab my favorite boxed cookie mix. You truly cannot go wrong with either.
- While the cookies bake, everyone piles into the living room with a couple of these Lifelines Dot Art books. There is something so meditative about this style of art. And they even have an entire book dedicated to cozy fall scenes.
This evening is all about simplicity. Chatting together, enjoying delicious cookies, great music, and some easy, cozy crafts.
