Target Weekly Clearance Update (the sunny Long Beach, CA edition)

I have actually been gone all week in sunny California with my husband, thanks to Shelley for keeping the blog running for me while I have been gone. We got to the airport about an hour early than we needed to, so we stopped by the Target closest to the Long Beach airport and I got to check out 2 stories of Target clearance goodness for you.
Here is a quick summary of what I found:
I found a large selection of rain boots on clearance for 70% off. These are the Merona brand, and they were priced at only $9.98. If you printed the $5/1 Merona coupon, they would be only $4.98.
I found a nice mix of home, bath and kitchen items all at 70% off.
They had quite a few frozen food items that were marked down to 50% off.
Kids character cups and utensils were also spotted at 50% off.
There were a couple of endcaps with toys marked down to 50% off.
I even spotted a LEGO Duplo set at 50% off, it was only $14.98 (reg $29.99).

it was unfortunate that our target won’t accept the $5/1 Merona coupon for the rain boots. at first the sup told me that coupon won’t work because its a clearance item but i told them that is totally not true. then they change their story: the computer won’t accept it we can’t also. i just told them forget about it…
I called customer services to ask them about the coupon and this is what they said:
Coupon are only for shoes not rainboots..(i said the picture on the coupon has sandals wedges on it howcome your telling that its only for shoes?) then they put me on hold for 15 mins.. at this time i lost hope and given up.. when he finally came back, they just told me to keep looking for items that will work for the coupon.. in my head i was shouting(WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!) its a no win battle with them.. 🙁
