Target: FREE Up & Up Ibuprofen

I love when the $1/1 Up & Up pain relief coupon comes around, because it means FREE Ibuprofen at Target.    I have seen this price slightly higher at $1.09 at a few of my stores, but with the $1 off coupon it still makes for a great deal.

  1. Hi, at my Target in Bryant, AR, the cashier denied the use of this coupon. She said that she cannot accept coupons when that makes the items become free. I argued that this is nowhere to be found in their coupon policy, but essentially she said it is not right to use coupons to get stuff for free so she wouldn’t accept it.

Was I wrong? Has there been a change in their policy? I wanted to go and complain at the Customer Service desk but my family was with me and it was already too embarrassing for them.

Hopefully you can help me clarify this

  2. I too, went to Target today to use my coupons for the Ibprofen. The cashier called the manager over and asked if the boxes I had were considered trial size. The manager said no they are on the shelves and to reduce coupon from 1.00 to .99 to make it free.

    1. What a bummer Beth! It is not a trial size, it is found in the regular section. You may want to try a different cashier. I have been getting these bottles for free every time the coupon pops up, and it has been several times a year.
