Make PB & J

Kids love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! You can’t go wrong making lunch with PB&J with Jif Peanut Butter and Smucker’s Fruit Spread. I love the natural varieties, because they feature no preservatives and both products are Non-GMO Project Verified.

Use Reusable or Recyclable Containers

Making lunches everyday can easily add to a lot of waste, by using Bento Boxes and reusable containers you can help save the environment. My kids love the fact that the Bento Boxes keep their sandwiches from getting smashed. I also like how everything has it’s own spot so there is no need for separate bags for each food item.

To make things even easier on yourself, you can prep multiple lunches at one time. I add all the sides like fruits, veggies, cheese and pretzels.

I store the prepped containers in the refrigerator. The next morning all I need to do is make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and add them to the boxes. This makes packing lunches a breeze!

Get Creative

It’s fun to get a little creative with their lunch, there are so many fun ways you can serve PB&J. My kids really like these Jif Peanut Butter and Smucker’s Fruit Spread Kabobs. Simply make a PB&J sandwich and cut it into squares. Thread the squares onto skewers with some fruit. It’s a fun new way for the kids to enjoy PB&J.

Add a Note!

I know my kids enjoy finding a note in their lunchbox. It helps them to know they are loved and that you are thinking about them while they are at school. I don’t include the notes everyday. I like to add them when I know they have a test or when I think they need a little pick me up. I think it makes it special that way!
