Cereal is fun for breakfast, but it’s also fun to kids to play with and help with motor skills.   Yes, I’m encouraging your kids to play with their food!   The Malt-0-Meal Tootie Fruities are great for kid’s activities and I will be sharing a few fun ideas with you.   You can pick up Malt-0-Meal cereal at Target and save even more with the high value 30% off Cartwheel offer on all Malt-O-Meal cereals through September 23rd.

One of my favorite flavors of the big bags of Malt-O-Meal cereals is the Frosted Mini Spooners.  I love the fact they they come in a large 36 oz bag.   With a family of 7 these big bags come in handy.

The Malt-O-Meal Tootie Fruities are loved by all my kids.

I love the cute warning on the back of the package!  It is true too.  They are delicious and easy on the wallet, especially right now, thanks to the 30% off Cartwheel offer.  This means you can stock up on your favorite flavors of Malt-O-Meals cereals and save even more.

In addition to the Malt-O-Meal Tootie Fruities being delicious to eat, they can be fun for little ones to play with too.   These activities are great for little ones because they teach them fine motor skills, sorting and more.   The first thing you want to do is sort the individual colors into bowls.  The sorting is a great activity for your kids.

The first activity is making a Tootie Fruities necklace.   You simply take some cord, yarn or ribbon and tie a knot on one end and have the kids slide the cereal rings onto the string.   They can do them in any order they want or you can have them follow a pattern.  We chose to go with a rainbow pattern.

The Malt-O-Meal Tootie Fruities are also fun for art projects.   Simple print out the flower stems artwork and have them create flowers with the Tootie Fruities.

We also have this truck image that you can print and they can fill in with the Tootie Fruities too.   You will be amazed how long your kids can be entertained with cereal.

Lastly, one project that was always fun for my kids, is making edible sand art.  You put each color of Tootie Fruities cereal in a individual plastic zippered bag and crush them with a rolling pin,

Then you can use them like sand to add them to a jar or make sand art pictures.

We used a clear jar I picked up from the Target Dollar Spot to make this rainbow sand art.   My kids always asked to make these when we went to the fair.  Now you can make them at home.   It’s lots of fun!

Don’t forget to load the high value 30% off Cartwheel before you pick up your bags of Malt-O-Meal cereal at Target.    The Cartwheel offer is valid through September 23rd.   Don’t forget you will now find all Cartwheel offers in the Target app.
